Well done Udom Inoyo (We your friends call you “Udome”) for your Annual Teaching Excellence Award which recognizes some of the best educators in our public schools. This year’s Award which held today is the 14th edition and it’s getting bigger and bigger. Congratulations Sir.

I remember that I helped to organize the Maiden edition in 2007 at Le Meridien Ibom Hotel. I’m glad to note that our people are becoming more and more appreciative of such enduring initiatives in social enterprise.

You’ve been consistent and persistent in pursuit of excellence. It speaks to your pedigree, ancestry and professional attainments.

The Teaching Award is a clear indication that you do have a very good appreciation of the importance of education in the society.

As a former teacher and a product of public school, I commend you for your sacrifice and contributions in our State.

Our people are just getting to knowing you better because you had always done your bit without the usual fanfare. You neither sought public validation nor crave personal aggrandizement. You did it your way because you’re a true scion of your father.
