Mr. Udom Inoyo, Advisor of the Inoyo Toro Foundation and former Executive Vice Chairman Exxonmobil Companies in Nigeria on Monday, November 15, 2021 paid a surprise visit to Topfaith Schools, Mkpatak, Akwa Ibom State. The former Exxonmobil Chief was received by the Chairman, Board of Governors of Topfaith Schools, Dr. Emmanuel T. Abraham. Mr. Udom Inoyo who was accompanied on the visit by Barr Abasumo Ekong Bassey was later conducted round the school premises. He inspected facilities at the secondary school premises and was impressed at the politeness and orderliness of the students.
Upon completion of the tour of Topfaith International Secondary School, Mr. Inoyo was later taken to the Topfaith University, which operational license was recently granted by the National Universities Commission, making it the third private University operating in Akwa Ibom State. While at the University, the august visitor inspected the Chemistry & Physics Laboratories, lecturers’ offices, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Management & Social Sciences as well as the Faculty of Law.
At the Faculty of Law, Mr. Inoyo, a lawyer by training was impressed at the Faculty building, the Law Auditorium, the moot court room as well as the Law Library. As part of his contribution to the continued development of the Institution and especially support for upcoming lawyers, Mr. Udom Inoyo pledged to donate 4 nos. split unit air conditioners to the Law Library.
Dr. E.T. Abraham later led the former CIPM President to the Senate building as well as the office of the Vice Chancellor. At the office of the Vice Chancellor, Mr. Udom Inoyo was warmly received by the Vice Chancellor of the Institution, Professor Patrick Ebewo. After signing the guest register, Mr. Inoyo expressed his excitement about the deep entrepreneurial capacity and industry which Dr. E.T. Abraham had put into developing such spectacular edifice. He recognized and paid tribute to the hardwork, resilience and dedication of Dr. Abraham which had seen him make giant and generationally enduring legacies in the education sector. He expressed his desire that the feat attained by Dr. Abraham will inspire future generations of Akwa Ibom sons and daughters to do even more.
Mr. Udom Inoyo and Dr. E.T. Abraham were undergraduate colleagues at the University of Calabar; they both graduated in 1981 and have since remained good friends. Dr. E.T. Abraham is a supporter of the ideals and vision of the Inoyo Toro Foundation. He was the 2021 Guest Speaker at the Foundation’s Annual Award for Teachers which was held on Friday, November 5, 2021.
